El próximo 24 y 25 de junio la Casa Colón de Huelva acogerá el I Congreso de Frutos Rojos, para el que se prevé una participación de unos 800 profesionales del sector. Un nuevo foro de análisis y debate necesario para definir el presente y futuro de estos cultivos.

La necesidad de un impulso permanente en este sector, clave para la economía de Huelva, se hace patente por la situación que vive, con resultados negativos en las últimas campañas, diversidad de variedades, y un nuevo marco socioeconómico que, a nivel de ventas, exportaciones y rentabilidad, están abriendo los cultivos de frambuesas, moras y arándanos. Todo ello hace necesario crear un foro de análisis permanente que aborde año tras año la situación real del sector de los frutos rojos y las oportunidades de mejora más importantes que se le presentan.
En este marco ha nacido este nuevo foro sectorial de análisis y debate, organizado por Freshuelva y el Instituto de Estudios de Cajasol, siguiendo el modelo de las ya desaparecidas Jornadas Agrícolas y Comerciales que servían para abordar la realidad de una actividad multisectorial, como la fresa y los cítricos. Ahora la nueva propuesta es especializar el contenido de este nuevo foro en un sector que se ha transformado y ha abierto nuevas posibilidades de negocio gracias a la incorporación de nuevos cultivos, como son la frambuesa, la mora y el arándano.
El actual evento abordará diferentes ámbitos alrededor de los frutos rojos como los aspectos nutricionales, la comercialización y la gran distribución, los procesos industriales, las tendencias actuales en los sistemas de cultivo con especial atención a la producción ecológica o al residuo cero, y la promoción de la fresa y los berries en Europa.
El Congreso contará con dos zonas de actividad, un espacio de contenidos técnicos, donde se desarrollarán las conferencias, ponencias y mesas redondas; y un espacio comercial-empresarial, con expositores especializados en las actividades ligadas a estos cultivos y, que por tanto, podrán mostrar sus productos y servicios con presentaciones comerciales previstas como actividades complementarias a las del propio contenido técnico.
